Your stay

INSIDE THE SHEPHERDS HUT/ WHAT’S INCLUDED…

Our shepherd’s hut is not any ordinary glamping site. We have sympathetically restored the hut re-us- ing as many of the original materials as possible whilst also adding a touch of 21st century luxury. This has included insulating the walls with sheep’s wool, stylishly decorating using Farrow and Ball paints, luxury additions including a home-from-home en-suite shower, heated towel rail and also a handmade luxury king size bed with goose down duvet and pillows. There’s even a controllable back- ground electric heater when the fire is not lit.

Whether it is the Nespresso machine to make delicious coffee, relaxing in front of the log burner or enjoying a hot shower in the en-suite with local toiletries from the Romney Marsh, we have tried to go that extra mile to make your stay that extra bit special. To help you unwind and have a stress free ar- rival, there will be a welcome pack awaiting for you which includes local places to eat, local maps for walks, things to do in the area and special places to visit.

To help begin your stay, there will be fresh milk in the fridge, complimentary teas and coffee with homemade cake. You will also find inside a Dualit toaster and kettle, dual-electric hob for light cooking and not forgetting a hairdryer. Quality cotton bed linen and towels are all included with your stay. Outside there are table and chairs and a well-stocked log store to keep the fire-pit and wood-burner fed for the duration of your stay. There is private parking next to the shepherd’s hut, so there is no need for long walks with your luggage.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?

We’ve tried to think of everything to make your stay as easy and relaxing as possible but here are a few things you may like to bring:

Some warmer clothes for evenings around the fire – maybe some wellies for those damp days – train- ers or walking boots for exploring the countryside and a waterproof jacket would be practical too!

We can supply breakfast hampers and packed lunches but if you prefer to bring your own meals there’s an electric 2-ring hob in the hut and a great grill over the fire-pit – don’t forget the marshmal- lows to toast over the fire afterwards!
You’ll have a complimentary supply of tea, coffee & milk on arrival and don’t forget to bring your fa- vourite tipple or wine for relaxing!

Bring your own toiletries and try our welcome pack of luxury shower gel, shampoo, hand & body lotion and soap locally produced by Romney Marsh Wools.

It’s a great opportunity to bring that book you’ve been meaning to read and curl up in front of the fire with a glass of wine. If you’re lucky enough to see one of our stunning sunsets, why not experience it with a glass of champagne with your feet-up next to the cosy fire!
